Apparently….as I am getting this monthly newsletter out late! Yes life has gotten in the way lol. Lots of patience, trust, faith, oh and let us throw some vulnerability in there shall we…Thank goodness for music, great friends, cats, walking, yoga and maybe a little bit of chocolate 🙂 Ok, time to catch you up…So I was Bar Band of the Month in Swerve Magazine in May, and had a bit of a write-up plus photo in May/June Where Magazine (still on streets). I have been selected to play at The Bell Centennial Plaza to represent the Jazz Summit at The Calgary Stampede! Yup, jazz at The Stampede Wed July 11 from 1-1:45 pm and I will not be wearing an ounce of giddy up 🙂 If you are however looking for some giddy up, a good pal of mine owns Riley & McCormick Be sure to check out the schedule as there are a ton of other amazing local artists performing there as well!
I am proud to say that I presented my first Deanne Matley Scholarship to The Calgary Arts Academy! It was a wonderful evening and I got to share the stage with their music teacher Georgie Lyons, a beautiful singer/songwriter. Calgary Arts Academy is the only school in Canada offering public education through Arts Immersion. Be a Star – Buy a Star
Happy Belated Father’s Day to all the wonderful Dad’s in my life! Happy 34th Anniversary Mom & Dad!
