Yup, I skipped May all together. Lot’s of change happening in my life currently. Some of it has been hard to accept, some I have embraced, and well some I’m just not sure about yet. Being a full time musician has brought many gifts, and I am grateful I took the leap. I was once told by a fellow artist that If I have a Plan B, I will never do Plan A, so I have embraced a mini mantra “Plan A, All the Way!” With that I have recently now become a mentor at The Calgary Arts Academy, inspiring young artists to focus on their “Plan A”. I’m pretty excited and nervous at the same time, but I think back to when I was younger, I had no one on one mentorship. I loved music so I made sure I joined all the choirs etc I could, eager to learn, not even knowing about coaching or voice lessons, or The Young Canadians for that matter, naturally gravitating to what I was passionate about…do we still do that as adults?
